- Double-breasted aviator's coat
- Includes back view.
Printed on image: "PILOT'S COAT" "designed by Pearl Alexander" "André 570 - 7th Ave. New York City Nov. 25, 1940"
This coat was designed in an age of aviation firsts and achievements. The collar and belt are patterned after the long leather coats worn by pilots flying open-cockpit aircraft. A winged propeller insignia is on the sleeve, and the goggles-like sunglasses also support the aviation motif.
